Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

shottxt.com is operated by Ahn. By signing in or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use shottxt.

2. Who can use shottxt

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services. You may not use shottxt if you have previously been removed from it.

3. Your account

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. One person may hold more than one account, but not to evade moderation or to inflate follows, likes or reposts.

Your handle is yours while you use it. We may reclaim handles that impersonate someone, are used to mislead, or belong to accounts that are removed.

4. Your content

Posts are limited to 280 characters. What you post stays yours. To run the service, you give Ahn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display your content on shottxt and in the previews shown when a link to it is shared. That licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies that may persist briefly in backups or in other people's caches.

You confirm you have the right to post what you post.

5. What you may not do

• •Harass, bully, threaten or incite violence against anyone.
• •Post hate speech targeting people for who they are.
• •Post sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal where you or we are.
• •Impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• •Spam: bulk or repetitive posting, engagement farming, scams, phishing, or malware links.
• •Scrape the site, hammer it with automated requests, or work around rate limits and other technical controls.
• •Post other people's private information without their consent.

6. Reports and moderation

Anyone signed in can report a post or an account. Reports are reviewed by a human; nothing is removed automatically. We may remove content, suspend or delete an account, or reclaim a handle when these terms are broken. We aim to be proportionate, and serious or repeated breaches can mean removal without warning.

Filing knowingly false reports is itself a breach of these terms.

7. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Account. Deleting an account removes your profile, posts, likes, follows and notifications; because replies belong to the post they answer, replies to your posts go with them. This cannot be undone.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop running shottxt. If we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data first.

8. The service is provided as it is

shottxt is offered free of charge and without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or that content posted by other people will be accurate or inoffensive. You use it at your own risk.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ahn is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of shottxt. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect, and the effective date at the top changes. Continuing to use shottxt after that means you accept the new version.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer protections you are entitled to where you live.
